Hello Clowns and Friends:

We are pleased to announce the 20^th Annual NorthEast Clown Institute (NCI.)  The Board of Directors has been talking about our 20^th Annual Event for a long time and it will be here very soon.  There will be many changes in the NCI format for 2009 and this letter should answer your questions.

The dates for the 20^th Annual NCI event are January 16, 17, 18, 2009.

FIRST EVER COMPETITION WEEKEND FOR NCI

1:30 pm - 5:30PM CLASSES ON CLOWNING BASICS

6:30 pm      BUFFET DINNER WITH PROFESSIONAL ENTERTAINMENT

9:30pm ‘til whenever      HOSPITALITY ROOM

REGISTRANTS WILL BE SPECTATORS AT THE ALUMNI COMPETITIONS TO WATCH AND LEARN – NO OTHER CLASSES 10:00AM UNTIL COMPLETION

Registration = $135 which includes:

20^th Anniversary Welcome Bag and 20^th Anniversary Patch

Friday Night Buffet Dinner with Entertainment

Competition for all events on Friday and Saturday

Non Competitors and Instructors

Registration = $75 which includes:

Tickets must be paid for in advance.

For this year’s Special 20^th Anniversary Institute

ALL 2^nd year and above alumni may participate in the competitions

Including those 6^th year and above students who were previously not eligible

Limited Classes for 1^st YearStudents

Friday classes as usual

Saturday competitions will serve as classes

The Radisson Plymouth Harbor Hotel remains the same at $52/night

Lastly, NCI is producing an ad book for vendors, businesses, organizations and everyone who wishes to promote their products, services and themselves and to support the Northeast Clown Institute and the Shriners Hospitals for children.  Please help support our Clown Institute’s 20^th Anniversary by placing an ad.  Ask your clown unit to place an ad.  Everyone who benefits from the NCI should place an ad to help make the 20^th Annual event be a success.

We have a new ad option for Clown Cards.  Show the world what you’ve learned at NCI with a special clown card ad.  No registration is necessary to place your clown card in the ad book.  This is a great way to help celebrate our 20^th Anniversary and help us to support the charitable causes of the Northeast Clown Institute and the Sneaker Fund for Burns Research.

Our goal is to maintain the NCI as the premier education venue for clowning.  The 2009 event and 20^th Annual Competition Weekend will give everyone an opportunity to compete with clowns of all levels and in costume & make-up, skits and balloon sculpting.  NCI is where it all happens.
