Mission Statement

"Dedicated to Improving the Quality of Clowns"

The Northeast Clown Institute is a non-profit educational organization, open to all who wish to develop and/or improve their clowning skills. The NCI is committed to keeping the tuition costs down, so that the average person can afford to come and learn the clowning craft. The NCI has created a program that has a continually improving agenda. Our 2006 program had 33 instructors, covering just about every aspect of the clowning profession.

Our vendors are informative and helpful, bringing with them their clowning experiences and knowledge to share with the students.
These suppliers carry ready-to-wear costumes, several brands of makeup, wigs, shoes, balloons, props, toys and magic – virtually everything to get started or to keep going in clowning.

The principal charity supported by the NCI is the International Shrine Clown Association's Sneaker Fund. This is the charity which raises money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children throughout North America. 100% of the donations collected for the Sneaker Fund goes directly to Burns Research.
