Awards

The Northeast Clown Institute has a policy of showing recognition to their students who have excelled in their clowning endeavors and in competitions.  This program was created especially for Shrine Clowns. It is now available to all NCI Students.

 

These points are awarded for competing at the Northeast Clown Institute, Shrine Imperial Session, ISCA MidWinter or Regional Shrine Clown competitions

 

This is how it works:

 

Costume & Make-Up

6 points - 1st Place

4 points - 2nd Place

2 points - 3rd Place

1 point for 4th or 5th

(Points for 4th or 5th are only awarded when there are 10 or more competitors)

 

One Man Skit, Two Man Skit and Children’s Choice

6 points - 1st Place

4 points - 2nd Place

2 points - 3rd Place

 

Single Balloon and Multiple Balloon

6 points - 1st Place

4 points - 2nd Place

2 points - 3rd Place

(The Balloon competition is currently available only at the ISCA MidWinter)

 

 

6 points for each year at the Northeast Clown Institute

(year 1, year 2 and year 3)

 

1 point for each year thereafter

 

1 point for earning the ISCA Red Nose Award

(up to six times)

 

A total of 26 points earns a Craftsman Clown Award

A total of 52 points earns a Master Clown Award

 

No points are awarded after Master Clown is attained
