About "Salty"

Worshipful Richard W. Burgess, Past Deputy Grand Master of the Grand
Lodge of Massachusetts is the Web Clown Artist for the Northeast
Clown Institute. Known affectionately as "Salty the Clown," he has
been a member of the Aleppo Clowns in Wilmington, MA for 25 years,
originally joining in 1981. That year, he assumed responsibility for
the Aleppo Shrine Circus and he held the position of Circus Chairman
for three years. His artistic flair brought him to the attention of
the International Shrine Clowns Association and he became Editor of
Clown Alley magazine for three years in the ninety's. Salty's
creativity and sense of humor make him perfectly suited as our Web
Clown Artist. The Board of Directors hopes you enjoy his artwork as
